Conservation: Alligators are renewable natural resource. By placing an economic value on alligators landowners are offered incentives to not only conserve wetlands but also enhance the habitat, so as to increase alligator populations. Wetland conservation and enhancement will not only benefit alligators but birds, fish, furbearers, and other animals that live there as well.
